The Funky Cat returns to De Helling Utrecht on the 14th of March – it’s a pi day rave!
So you wanna be a NERD? You think you’re SMORT?! Well, its time to join us on the dance floor and go MENTAL, cuz the 14th of March is PI DAY… and pi is TRANSCENDENTAL!! ✨🫸π🫷✨
All throughout the ages, mathematical sages have tried, and failed, and tried to reveal… 🤫🕯️the final digit of pi 🕯️🔦🔮 Calling all you nutty professors, mad mathematicians, silly students, wacky teachers, irrational numbers and cuti-pi geeks: it is time we solve this age old quest to the beat of LOUD MUSIC.
On this day we wreck our brains, dance through topological planes, and give our calculators a proper stress test 🥵 Together, WE WILL FIND THE FINAL DIGIT!

The Funky Cat brings playful, diverse and forward-thinking electronic music. Music that makes you dance, free from any boundaries. We build on a foundation of nice people and high energy, with a lick of art and mischief.
Geck-o & friends will guide you through the day with an intense blend of music. Dance to psychedelic soundscapes, underground rave, groovy rhythms, bassy drums and twisted mindfucks.
Geck-o – We can trust Geck-o to bring the most funky, trancey, sweaty and groovy cuts to our Animal Day Rave. As a master of his craft, he will provide an incredible flow throughout many styles and flavours. Always very intense and colorful, and with a load of new music fresh from his studio! Time to dance 😼
Koarse SYSTEM set – After the massive success of the first SYSTEM set, we’re bringing Koarse back for the CLOSING of our Pi Day Rave. An obsession with tekno sound system culture, in a beautiful head-on collision with advanced drum & bass..?! You don’t want to miss this special sonic treatment from Koarse. Let’s get seriously silly 🔊
STOIK – The Austrian mastermind is back, and set to dip you into his richly textured world. Get ready for a mysteriously beautiful and absolutely hypnotizing experience, and look out for his new music – coming soon on The Funky Cat’s label 🤩
bitface & Faestos – Two of our favourite resident DJs team up for the first time for an exciting b2b! With master selector bitface and funk soul brother Faestos, you can expect truly special music that will get you dancing hard 🪩
Echo Seraph – The perfect way to start the dance! Expect beautiful harmonies, trippy soundscapes and flowing beats. After his incredible set at our Royal Rave, we had to bring him back for Pi Day 💜
The Listening Hour – We start the day off with an hour long of strictly NOT dancing 🚫 Instead, take a seat or lay down to experience a fine selection of beautiful, special, bizarre and cheeky music.

Handig om te weten
Onze concerten zijn voor alle leeftijden toegankelijk, t/m 14 jaar adviseren we wel om samen met een volwassene te komen. Voor clubnachten geldt een minimumleeftijd van 18 jaar tenzij anders vermeld.
De Helling is PIN-Only. Dit betekent dat wij bij de kassa, bar en garderobe geen contant geld kunnen aannemen. Neem dus je pinpas of creditcard mee. De garderobe is verplicht voor grote tassen en jassen en kost €2,25 per item.
Ben je verhinderd en kan je niet meer naar een concert of clubnacht in De Helling? Dan raden we je aan je ticket via TicketSwap te verkopen. TicketSwap is een officiële partner van De Helling en daarmee het enige veilige platform wat wij ondersteunen in het doorverkopen van kaarten. De tickets welke via TicketSwap worden verhandeld worden automatisch gecheckt in onze database en voorzien van een nieuwe barcode. Zo ben je zeker van een geldig ticket. Veel plezier!
We werken doorgaans met staanplaatsen. Indien je slecht ter been bent kun je altijd bij een van onze personeelsleden vragen om een barkruk, zodat je toch van het concert kan genieten. Ook is De Helling is rolstoeltoegankelijk, maar helaas (nog) niet via de hoofdingang. Wanneer je De Helling wilt bezoeken als rolstoelgebruiker, maken we een zijdeur open welke rolstoeltoegankelijk is. Eenmaal binnen is De Helling volledig gelijkvloers en is er een rolstoeltoegankelijk (gehandicapten) toilet.
