Summer of Pride Kiki Ball

**Ticket types:
Community tickets are for members of the ballroom scene. Participant tickets are those who are walking the ball, and spectators are for those viewing the ball. General Audience tickets are for people who are not part of the ballroom scene, but who are welcome to come and watch.**

Two years since our last kiki in Utrecht, it’s time we bring some ballroom energy back to the city!
Get ready to bring it to the floor in your hottest fits. We’re celebrating Summer, baby.
The function takes place on Sunday, a day after Utrecht Pride.

Are you participating (walking) in the ball?
For ALL categories in this ball, participants must wear an outfit that is in ONE of the colours of the intersectional (newest) Pride flag.

• Your whole outfit must be in 1 of the colours of the flag.
• Shoes and accessories don’t count (for example: you may choose to wear a blue effect with white/black shoes, etc).

Are you visiting the ball as a spectator?
If you are just watching, feel free to come in any outfit. There is no dress code for spectators.

👀 KNOW YOUR HISTORY:
Ballroom culture emerged in New York from the 1960s throughout the 80s. It was largely created by Black and Brown Fem Queens (trans women) as a safe space for queer and trans people of colour. This kiki ball invites people from all identities to celebrate queer and trans excellence, but centers and prioritises those who ballroom was created for.
