How open and tolerant is the Netherlands really? Does everyone have equal rights? And how do we continue to show understanding for each other in a polarizing world? During OPEN: Collective care, four (BIPOC) LGBTI people will find themselves working on these important questions. They will discuss, among other things, the commotion surrounding expressions of support for Palestine during Pride, and how (LGBTQI+) organizations can better work together to combat human rights. Your voice is important too. Reserve your free spot and contribute to the discussion. (Of course, you can also just listen.)

• Celeste Obispa is an Anthropologist, works at the Ministry of Justice and Security, is queer and comes from Curacao.
  
• Kaye Candaza is from Filipino descent, living in the Netherlands for more than a decade, intersex person with trans experience. She is head diversity at Filipino LGBTQ Europe and board member of Stichting Prisma Group.
• Andrea Gabbana is the founder of Utrecht Ballroom Scene, a community that centers queer and trans people of color and organizes events for the ballroom community. Andrea is also the Dutch Mother of the House of Gabbana.
  
• Kaneesha Nadal is bisexual, comes from St. Maarten, has a Christian background and is graduated in Life Sciences and Technology and working in this field. Kaneesha has also been committed to the emancipation of BIPOC LGBTQIA+.
  
• Sharmila Vooren, also known as Sharmila Gabbana, is a make-up artist, creative director and activist. Throughout her work and activism she tries to fight and advocate for a more humane society and support community initiatives that promote mutual aid, care, joy, freedom and healing.

Hoe open tolerant is Nederland nou echt? Heeft iedereen wel dezelfde rechten? En hoe blijven we begrip voor elkaar opbrengen in een polariserende wereld? Tijdens OPEN: Collective Care wagen vier (BIPOC) LHBTI-ers zich aan deze belangrijke vragen. Ze bespreken onder andere de commotie rondom steunbetuigingen aan Palestina tijdens de Pride, en hoe (LHBTQI+)-organisaties beter kunnen samenwerken om mensenrechten te waarborgen. Jouw stem is hierbij ook belangrijk. Reserveer je gratis plek en draag bij aan de discussie. (Alleen luisteren mag natuurlijk ook.)

• Kaya Candaza is van Filipijnse afkomst , woont al meer dan tien jaar in nederland en is een intersekse persoon met transgenderervaring. Ze is hoofd diversiteit bij Filipino LGBTQ Europa en is bestuurslid van Stichting Prisma Group.
• Andrea Gabbana is de oprichter van Utrecht Ballroom Scene, een community die zich richt op queer en trans mensen van kleur en evenementen organiseert voor de ballroom community. Andres is ook de nederlandse moeder van het Huis van Gabbana.
• Kaneesha Nadal is biseksueel, komt uit St. Maarten, heeft een christelijke achtergrond en is afgestuurd in Life Sciences and Technology en werkt ook in dit vakgebied. Kaneesha heeft zich ook ingezet voor de emancipatie van BIPOC LGBTQIA+.
• Sharmila Vooren, ook wel bekend als Sharmila Gabbana, is een visagiste, creatief directeur en activiste. Door middel van haar werk en activisme probeert ze te vechten en te pleiten voor een humanere samenleving en steunt ze gemeenschapsinitiatieven die wederzijdse hulp, zorg, vreugde, vrijheid en genezing bevorderen.
