Bad Gyals Club is a platform, community & club night focused on women, but where everyone is welcome. At our events you are free to be yourself without being judged.

The story of Bad Gyals Club begins in 2016. The nightlife is predominantly dominated by men. Female DJs who perform are often booked as a fun side act or to warm up the crowd for the male DJs who follow. We wanted to change this and decided to take matters into our own hands. In March 2016, the very first edition of Bad Gyals Club took place at Superdisco, with an all-female lineup. It was a night where women were in the spotlight, but everyone was welcome. Not only the DJs on the night itself, but also the photographers, stylists, and other involved parties were women.

Although the emphasis is on women, we strive for a club night with as many different people as possible. Our goal is for everyone to feel like a bad gyal and to feel free and safe to be themselves without being judged, no matter who or what you are.

After a successful first edition, we did not remain idle. In addition to several sold-out editions with audiences ranging from 400 to 1500 people, we have also entered into various collaborations. For instance, we hosted our own stage during Vunzige Deuntjes and at our first festival, 7Fest. In 2023, we even had the honor of hosting our own stage at the biggest festival in the Netherlands: Zwarte Cross. We have also been working on Gyals Talk for a while now, where we feature inspiring creative women with their own businesses sharing their stories.

Besides organizing club nights, we strive to be meaningful to the community in other ways as well. For our first project, we were sponsored by PUMA, and we organized photoshoots and interviews with various creative female entrepreneurs to create visibility and inspire young people to pursue their dreams.

Our ultimate goal is to gain national recognition so that we can provide people throughout the Netherlands with an unforgettable club night (and eventually perhaps even a festival) through our platform. We also aim to inspire by sharing our story through workshops and podcasts conducted by women.
